Supporting Voices awards for a second year running

Coram Voices, run by the charity Coram Voice, is the national creative writing competition for children in care and young care leavers, providing them with a platform to express their creative talents and to celebrate their voices.  Now in its fifth year, the theme for Voices 2020 is ‘Dreams’ and we are proud to announce our involvement in the Voices Awards 2020.

Cadence first supported the competition in 2019. In addition to sponsoring and supporting the awards, several Cadence members volunteered to help with the competition’s shortlisting process. The awards ceremony took place online in July on Coram Voices YouTube channel.

Brigid Robinson, Managing Director of Coram Voice, said: “We are proud to welcome Cadence Innova as our headline sponsor.

We are hugely grateful for Cadence Innova’s generous support and dedication to the competition. This enables us to provide a special and memorable experience for the young people taking part, celebrating their talents and allowing them to share their stories with wider audiences.”

Cadence Innova director, Gita Singham-Willis, said: “We are delighted to sponsor this great event for a second year running. The Voices Awards champion children’s creativity and development, and we are proud to be a part of this inspiring competition.”

It was yet another emotional Voices awards, with astonishing quality and creativity shown in the submitted works. If you would like to read all entries, you can do that here.

Take a look at this delightful poem the team at Coram Voice received from Ryan, the winner of the primary category, sharing how special the competition had been for him.
