A housing association was facing cuts in funding and the challenges of a highly unionised working culture. Despite this, it was committed as ever to increase their footprint and strengthen their reputation in the market. Achieving this, however, required a complete overhaul in operating structure and service delivery.
We worked closely with residents, staff and stakeholders to understand what needed to change to ensure success.
Cadence worked in close collaboration with the housing association to articulate their vision and create a roadmap to achieving it. We provided coaching and leadership training to the Board and management team and carried out an in-depth assessment of the existing operating model. We took the time to understand what the residents really wanted, and mapped this against the complex stakeholder needs.
Our support helped the housing association achieve its goals. The number of homes managed has increased significantly and residents are continuously supported through the locally embedded neighbourhood teams and community investment strategy.
